THIS PLACE IS DIRTY ughhh. Now, The first time I came to this place it was perfect but pre COVID. When I went back on 8/7/2020...the food was not the same. I traveled from the east coast for shrimp and grits only to find the food lacked that Louisiana taste and to top it off...there was a hair in my food. Eeeew! The owner at first said he couldnt see it so I had to pick it out with my fork. So Gross. He offered me a bread pudding but I just left the food there and threw my other to go order in the trash. I have never been so disgusted in my life.

GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!First time I've ever eaten grits without putting sugar on them! The red beans and rice was cooked to perfection, seasoned to the tee and hot like crazy good. My eggs were think and creamy just like I like them! My son LOVED his HUGE pancakes! The syrup in packets are SUPER convenient!!! And the ham was great! We can't wait to go back!

This place should be more poppin' my whole trip I c couldn't find that home cook southern meal I've been looking for. A woman at a drug store recommended this place and I'm glad I found it. I didn't know what to expect vat first because it is down a corridor and it's a smaller family style place. But I'm glad I had the chance to eat here. Best shrimp and grits in the city hands 👏down👏. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Definitely a must go spot when I come back to the city

What a great little hole in the wall! It's a little hard to find, but once I got in, I was greeted warmly and felt right at home. Their menu is pretty big, and they have a wide variety of daily specials. I got the gumbo and po-boy special, and both were terrific. I also had the bread pudding, which was really good as well.

They are Definitely not stingy with the portions. Their pancakes are so perfect. Crispy edges n thick just how I like them. The grits and cheese are perfect! And Great Customer Service!
